A good round of golf could be the ideal start to 2014, so why not tee off the new year by entering Waikaia Golf Club's New Year's Day tournament?

The tournament is open to men and women, and has start times of either 8.30am or 12.30pm.

Waikaia is also holding its popular Switzers tournament - the club's big tournament of the year - on Sunday, January 12. It, too, is open to both men and women, and has start times of 8.30am or noon. The prizes on offer include a $150 bag of coins to the men's first nett, and a $75 bag of coins for the men's top stableford. The women's top nett scorer will earn $60, and the top female stableford $50.

All queries can be directed to the club.
