Southland's Ryan Duffy has posted successive half centuries at the New Zealand Provincial A cricket tournament being played in Lincoln.

Playing for Otago A, Duffy didn't have the greatest of starts in his first three digs, but in the past two days has scored 51 from 56 balls against Central and 82 from 90 balls against Northern yesterday.

The opening batsman is part of the wider Otago Volts squad and this season made his first-class debut when Aaron Redmond was away on international duty.

Meanwhile, Southland will be represented at both the New Zealand under-17 and under-19 tournaments next week.

Southland Boys' High School's Liam McWilliam will be part of the Otago under-17 team while Metro cricket club's Nick Cantwell has been included in the Otago under-19 team.
