Shearer Cam Ferguson, of Hawke's Bay, battles it out against Leon Samuels, of Invercargill, during the final of the 2014 NZ Cross Breed Lamb Shearing Championships at the Winton A&P Show on Saturday.

Ferguson was the fastest finisher but finished third, with Invercargill shearer Nathan Stratford claiming the title, and Hawke's Bay shearer John Kirkpatrick second.

Kirkpatrick won the New Zealand Crossbred Full Wool Championships title at the Northern Southland Community Shears on Friday, with Ferguson second, and Stratford third.

Pagan Rimene, of Alexandra, won the open woolhandling title at the Winton A&P Show, with Joel Henare, of Gisborne winning on Friday.
