United Arab Emirates one-day international team skipper Khurram Khan and team- mates enjoying an impromptu game on the beach at Queenstown Bay yesterday.
The captain, other players and coaches were on the busy beach during a break from training.
The national side scored an 80-run victory against Canada at a World Cup qualifier match at the Rangiora Oval but lost against Scotland in Queenstown.
It was the team's first loss during the qualifying stage of the 10-team one-day international contest to decide the remaining two teams at the World Cup next year in Australia and New Zealand.
UAE play Hong Kong at the Queenstown Events Centre tomorrow.
