Scott wins fourth South Island title
Jason Scott won the South Island Sprintcar Championships for the fourth time at the Riverside Speedway last night.
``I'm bloody rapt,'' Scott, of Queenstown, said after winning the prestigious event.
A slight concern for Scott was the condition of his tyres near the end of the final race.
``The last five or six laps, the tyres were wearing out, but we got there.''
Scott, who has been driving competitively for six years, is a builder.
He and fellow sprintcar drivers will be back at Riverside Speedway tonight for the War of the Wings.
