ALL SMILES: The victorious He Tauaa rugby league team and supporters after winning a pre-season tournament in Winton yesterday.

The He Tauaa juggernaut won all of its six games at the nine aside rugby league  tournament in Winton yesterday.

He Tauaa beat Cooks 16-8 in the final. Jayleel Fa'amoe Ioane's two runaway tries for He Tauaa were highlights of the final. His uncle, Moses Fa'amoe Ioane, coaches He Tauaa.

``I wasn't expecting to go through undefeated,'' Moses said.

``It's surprised me, their fitness, it's quite high.'' 

 He added He Tauaa would compete in the Dunedin nines tournament on March 22.

Other teams involved in yesteday's tournament were Wakatipu Giants, Winton Warlords, Bluff and Cowboys. About 250 people, including players, were in attendance.

 Southland's club rugby league competition is pencilled in to start on April 6.
