Sport Southland is encouraging all Southlanders to be on the start line of the BNZ Surf to City, when the annual fun run, walk and cycle event kicks off tomorrow morning.
The event is Southland's biggest participation-based event, with options that include the 12km run/walk/cycle from Oreti Beach to Queens Park, the ILT Foundation 6km run/walk from Curran Rd to Queens Park, the Challenge 2.5km event for people with a disability and the AMI Kids in the City.
Sport Southland event manager Matt Sillars said the event was part of a fantastic community day out.
"The weather forecast is looking great and we're really excited about getting as many Southlanders as possible on the start line of the BNZ Surf to City," he said.
"It's a fun, community event with a great atmosphere, so our message to anyone and everyone is to get involved."
Entries can be made on the day at Feldwick Gates Queens Park or Oreti Beach or, for the ILT Foundation 6km run/walk, at Curran Rd.
