The curtain comes down on the 2013-14 motor racing season at Teretonga Park on Sunday.
The Downer-sponsored programme includes Pre 65 Saloons, NZ6 Saloons, the Noel McIntyre Drainage Clubmans Saloons and the annual A1 Autos One Hour Race.
The Pre 65 Saloons feature an impressive grid including three Southlanders - Wayne Tuffley of Invercargill, who is always very much a frontrunner in his Ford Mustang, Stuart Mitchell of Otautau in his Valiant AP6 and newcomer John Smolenski of Invercargill in a Falcon.
Roy MacDonald, of Dunedin, leads the series in a Ford Fairlane.
The NZ6 field features Gore drivers Russell Keller in his Falcon AU and Paul Muir in a Commodore, while the Noel McIntyre Drainage Clubmans Saloons should see, near the front of the field, Darryn Andrews of Lincoln in his turbocharged Nissan Primera, Brian Scott of Dunedin in a Corvette, Liam MacDonald of Invercargill in his Falcon and Glenn Johnston of Gore in a Honda Integra.
Andrews will back up in the A1 Autos One Hour Race and should be a good chance for victory, while the Honda Integras of Dave McLean (Riversdale) and James Mitchell (Dunedin) could be dark horses along with the Toyota Starlet of Invercargill driver Jeremy Dawson.
A full day of racing starts with qualifying from 9.40am.
