Terror To Love is poised to become the 10th to win both the Kindergarten and Sapling Stakes.
He posted a front-running success in the Sapling Stakes at Ashburton on February 13. The son of Western Terror paced the mobile mile in 1min 58.4sec, with his final 800m in 57.9 and 400m in 27.5.
From his draw of No 2, Terror To Love could lead again in tomorrow's Kindergarten Stakes at Wyndham.
He and his stablemates, Shing Bromac and Motu Star Of Pacific, travelled from West Melton to Invercargill yesterday. The trio and their co-trainer, Graham Court, are staying with Tisbury trainers Tom Kilkelly and Tracee Sherborne.
Court and son Paul train Terror To Love for longstanding client Terry McDonald, who bred the juvenile from unraced Love To Live.
Bad All Over, a half-brother to Terror To Love, is in Australia after winning eight races for McDonald and the Courts.
Terror To Love is the best of the 12 two-year-olds to be trained by the Courts this season.
Graham said yesterday he was pleased with Terror To Love's progress since the Sapling Stakes.
"He's pretty well and trained on good," the horseman said.
Driver Jim Curtin believes Terror To Love is getting better with racing.
The youngster's third at Addington on February 2 drew praise from Curtin.
"He went a very good race. He got pushed four wide and kept coming."
Shing Bromac begins a new campaign in the Roading Company Trot tomorrow, while Motu Star Of Pacific is accepted for the Marshall Industries Ltd Pace.
The Roading Company Trot will be Shing Bromac's first race for 11 months. He suffered a minor injury to a back suspensory in the New Zealand Trotting Derby at Addington in March.
Shing Bromac has not been to a workout or trial in this preparation, but his training indicates he is well-forward for tomorrow.
"He's a very nice horse," Graham Court said.
Shing Bromac (four wins) won three two-year-old trotting races in 2008 and a maiden trot at Waikouaiti 12 months ago.
Motu Star Of Pacific, entered for the last race tomorrow, was blocked in the straight and finished ninth at Motukarara on January 24.
"She was a certainty beaten that day," Graeme Court said.
"She went ordinary at Oamaru (January 31), but we've freshened her up and she seems good again."
