Junior driver Craig Ferguson is to start work for Rakauhauka trainer Clark Barron in three weeks.

Ferguson has spent the winter employed by Burnham horseman Mark Jones. Earlier, he was attached to Brendon McLellan's Wyndham stable.

Ferguson's mother, Sue, is the new secretary of the Wyndham workouts, succeeding Eileen Souness, who retired after 35 years' service.
