North Canterbury filly Justalittlebettor has remained in Southland to prepare for a maiden race at the Northern Southland meeting at Ascot Park on September 28.

She was most unlucky at Winton on Sunday when badly checked early in a mobile mile for fillies and mares. Justalittlebettor's belated run for third was a talking point on course.

Woodend Beach co-trainer David Butt said today that Justalittlebettor had been left in the care of Makarewa trainer Tony Barron for the Northern Southland meeting.

Stablemate Opulent, who won three of seven starts last season, is under offer to clients of Perth trainer Greg Bond.

''She's getting vetted (for sale) in the next couple of days,'' Butt said.

Opulent won the Group I $114,000 Caduceus Club Fillies' Classic at Alexandra Park in April.
