Stirling Point, owned by Ben and Karen Calder, of Ryal Bush, won a A$22,000 pace at Menangle Park, Sydney, on Saturday night.

It was his third Australian start and followed a win (September 11) and a sixth (September 4) at Menangle Park, which is the headquarters of New South Wales harness racing. Darren Binskin trains Stirling Point.

Winton's Allan Beck prepared Stirling Point for his first three wins, while the gelding's next three victories were from the Clevedon stable of Barry Purdon.

Barney Rubble, who races as Im Barney Rubble in Australia, stretched his winning sequence to six at Ballarat on Saturday night. The ex-Kiwi pacer won his only start in New Zealand - at Ascot Park in May - for trainer Curly Thomas.

Lance Justice now trains Barney Rubble.
