Consistent gelding Poacher is likely to be put on the market after he races at Addington tomorrow.

Winton trainer Des Baynes said today the gelding's owner, The Test Syndicate, had a young horse to try and that it might be time to sell Poacher (five wins), who ran second at Addington on Tuesday.

Reon Tither is holidaying in Invercargill and will drive VC Windermere in the MLT/Three Rivers Hotel Pace at Wyndham on Sunday. He owns VC Windermere with his mother Andrea, of Invercargill. His father Jack trains the Washington VC mare at Ascot Park.

Tither, of Karratha in Western Australia, arrived in Invercargill on Tuesday and will return home next Friday.

His grandfather, Ascot Park trainer Murray Faul, ditched plans to start Windermere Lad at Wyndham because the gelding had been scouring earlier this week.

''He's had a stomach upset,'' Faul said today.

Canardly Lover, trained by Hamish Hunter at Ryal Bush, is not racing at Addington tomorrow. He bruised a hoof when fourth at Addington on Tuesday.
