Former Southlanders Western Cullen and Im Victorious finished first and second, respectively, in the Golden Nugget Prelude at Gloucester Park, Perth, on Friday night.

Western Cullen clocked a mile rate of 1:56.5 for 2506m (mobile). The Golden Nugget final is at Gloucester Park on December 7.

Two ex-Southland pacers Hokonui Ben (first) and Salliwood quinellaed the Navy Cup at Gloucester Park on Friday, while another race on the card was taken out by Southland-bred Benjamin Banneker.
