Southland-owned Scarrymcleary won a C3-5 pace in 1:52.3 (one mile) at Menangle Park, Sydney, on Saturday night.

Scarrymcleary recorded eight wins for Makarewa trainer Tony Barron before crossing the Tasman early last month. His other two starts at Menangle Park resulted in a third and a 10th.

The Elsu 5-year-old is trained by David Thorn.

Jaccka Creek has joined Stephen Doody's Palmerston North stable. The one-win trotter was trained in Southland by Brett and Murray Gray.

Lady Suffragette, who was scratched at Ascot Park on Sunday, cut a leg in a fence on Saturday night.
