Graeme Mee, who is a clerk of the course at race meetings in Otago, has taken over the training of Zerpourguru.

Formerly trained at Pukekohe by Stephen Ralph, 6-year-old Zerpourguru came south with a record of 29 starts for a win, two seconds, a third, three fourths and four fifths.

He won a 1400m maiden race at Ruakaka in August 2010. The gelding has not raced since May.

I'm Maveric and Quest For Luck, both formerly trained at Byerley Park in south Auckland, have new South Island trainers.

One-win gelding I'm Maveric recently joined Michael Pitman's Christchurch stable after being with trainer Anna Scott. I'm Maveric finished fifth in a rating 65 benchmark 1200m at Te Rapa on November 25 at his last North Island start.

Interestingly, Quest For Luck also had her last start at the Te Rapa meeting, finishing 10th in a maiden 1600m. She is a newcomer in Murray Hamilton's Omakau team.
