Prime Hit, who won seven races and $101,675 in the North Island, is a newcomer in Kelvin Tyler's Riverton stable.

Tyler was offered Prime Hit by the gelding's former trainer, Lee Somervell, of Cambridge.

Another member of Tyler's team, Peter Parrot (two wins), is recovering from a stonebruise.

Wingatui's Steve Anderton recently took over the training of Storm In (two wins) and The Arrow Keeper (one win). They were previously with Ruakaka trainers Donna and Dean Logan.

Meanwhile, former Christchurch jockey Jamie Bate is working for Waikato trainers Steven Ramsay and Julia Ritchie, of Maungatautari. He is employed as a trackwork rider and started last Monday.
