Jaccka Justy gave horseman Jonny Cox his most important success with a brilliant win in the Group III $25,000 D G Jones Memorial Banks Peninsula Trotting Cup at Motukarara today.

Jaccka Justy left stride at the start, settled at the rear of the field and stormed home in the stretch to win going away in his first race on grass.

Cox is the co-trainer of Jaccka Justy with partner Amber Hoffman at Westwood. They were at Wingatui on Saturday to see the thoroughbred in the stable, Enchanter clear maiden ranks.

It was the 11th win for Jaccka Justy who is raced by Riversdale breeders Charlie and Ailsa Smaill. Southland owners have won the BP Cup in three of the last four years with Springbank Richard, owned by Alistair and Denise Smith, of Wendon, successful in 2009 and 10.
