Kimberly Butt eyes win
Kimberly Butt is set to drive her first winner at the Forbury Park meeting on Thursday night.
The daughter of top reinsman Anthony Butt is driving Saveapatrol in the Dunedin City Ford Junior Drivers' Pace. Saveapatrol is trained by her boss, Burnham horseman Mark Jones.
Saveapatrol had his last start in the New Zealand Derby at Addington on April 5. He raced below his best and was unwell after the race.
Jones has given the Christian Cullen gelding one start in public in this preparation. The four-win pacer won on the grass at the Methven workouts on Saturday.
''He won pretty easy . . . he's pretty forward,'' Jones said tonight.
The horseman is interested in starting Saveapatrol in a 4 and 5-year-old harness plus race (2200m stand) at Gore on Saturday week.
