Facebook has published its Games of the Year list for 2013, highlighting a large number of mainly casual-focused titles that are unlikely to have registered on the radar of most traditional gamers.

"The games of the year were selected based on user ratings, Facebook implementation, growth, and overall quality," the Facebook announcement explained.

New categories this year are intended to highlight Facebook staff picks, and those that launched prior to 2013 but - according to the announcement - continue to be "immensely popular" with users of the social network.
