MyLotto delay irks

Hundreds of MyLotto players were unable to buy tickets online last week after a banking delay meant money was not transferred to their accounts for two days.
Spokeswoman Karen Jones says the problem affected 300 customers who tried to credit their MyLotto accounts from their bank accounts.
The bank transfers took two full working days to process, meaning players who tried to top up on Tuesday could not access the money until Friday.
MyLotto states in its terms and conditions that bank transfers can take two full business days to clear due to delays in processing, and most customers opt to top up their accounts via credit card, she says.
"Every so often due to circumstances beyond our control bank transfers aren't as quick as those with credit cards."
MyLotto player Andre Van Kesteren says he transferred money from his bank on Tuesday, but had to go to a Lotto agent to buy his Big Wednesday the next day.
"After a while you get to rely on the fact that you can do it that way ... it's a bit of a shock to the system when you can't."
He says MyLotto should have advised customers of the delay. "They could have said, `We're having some issues. If your money hasn't turned up, don't panic, we're working on it.' That would have been fine."
Ms Jones says 100,000 people now buy lottery tickets through its website.
