Wireless broadband specialist Woosh has managed to keep prices down for its Bundle of Joy home phone and broadband package, despite the Commerce Commission ruling that forced the removal of its loyalty deal with Telecom Wholesale.
Woosh spokesman Richard Fry says the company was forced to look at new pricing options.
"When we introduced Bundle of Joy in May last year, we did so with a commitment to bring all New Zealanders the best value fixed line home phone and broadband prices," Mr Fry says.
"While we have not been able to maintain our market leading non-geographic pricing structure, which brought major metropolitan price plans to the regions, the new differentiated pricing will offer provincial New Zealand the best per GB price on the market."
One of the ways Woosh has been able to maintain its best value position is by introducing new data cap limits: 3GB, 7GB, 30GB and 45GB.
Woosh has also kept its community fundraising initiative, Share the Joy, which has already proved popular with sports clubs and schools.
Hauroko Valley School, in Tuatapere, and Longford Intermediate School, Gore, are two of the Southland groups that have already benefited from this scheme.
