TelstraClear internet out for regions
TelstraClear says it expects broadband will be restored to all its 80,000 cable broadband customers in Wellington and Christchurch by 1pm after a fault this morning.
Spokesman Gary Bowering said customers who kept their cable modems on all the time would not have been affected by the fault, but customers who turned them off would have found they were unable to reconnect to the network this morning.
The issue was being resolved and modems were now reconnecting to the network, but it might take until 1pm for the queue to clear, he said.
TelstraClear was still investigating the root cause of the issue.
