Former Kiwis captain Dean Bell is among six management appointments announced today by the New Zealand Rugby League for the May 9 Centenary test against Australia in Sydney.

New Zealand Warriors community and development manager Bell, 45, accepted an invitation to be the Kiwis' football manager.

The announcement follows Monday's confirmation of former Kiwis skipper Stephen Kearney as the 28th coach in New Zealand history and veteran Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett as coaching and management adviser for the test at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Bell, who played 26 tests for the Kiwis from 1983-89, returned home from England last year to join the Warriors after being the club's foundation captain in 1995.

He is also team manager for the Junior Warriors, who will play in the new National Youth Cup under-20 competition this season.

Five other appointments have been made, including that of Gordon Gibbons as team manager.

New Zealand Rugby League chairman Ray Haffenden has also confirmed another former Kiwi captain Howie Tamati will continue as convener of national selectors.

After their efforts against the Boks, how do you think Argentina will go against the ABs?

They are a chance to beat them!

They should push the ABs close.

The All Blacks will blow them off the park.

Who cares? This weekend is about the Warriors.
