A complaint against Raiders rugby league star Todd Carney has been withdrawn, ACT police say.

Carney was alleged to have urinated on a patron at a Canberra pub in the early hours of Monday.

"A 22-year-old man from Bruce was. . . interviewed in relation to an allegation of assault," a police statement said.

"That investigation is concluded as the complaint has been withdrawn."

The news is not so good for Carney's team-mate Bronx Goodwin.

The fullback will face court after being charged with two counts of assault.

"A 24-year-old Bruce man will be summonsed to face court on two assault charges following incidents at an O'Connor licensed premises on Sunday night-Monday morning," the statement said.

"Police will allege the man assaulted two other patrons outside the premises about 11.40pm on Sunday, July 20.

"The 24-year-old was interviewed by investigators at City Police Station earlier today."

Goodwin's court date is yet to be fixed.

The Raiders said both players would remain suspended, pending an internal investigation.

"ACT Policing has concluded their investigation in regards to the weekend's incidents, and the Raiders will now begin deciding on a course of action internally," club chief executive Don Furner said in a statement.

"At this stage both Bronx and Todd will remain suspended by the club, and their futures will be decided following consultation with the Raiders board, coaching staff and playing group."

Carney has been in trouble with the law repeatedly and his future with the club is by no means guaranteed despite his ability on the field.

"The Raiders take the issue of off-field behaviour very seriously and will assess the situation involving both Bronx and Todd before deciding on any further action," Furner said.

Has rugby had a fair deal at the Halberg Awards over the years?

No. They should have won more gongs than they have.

It's been about right.

More than a fair deal. Other sports are more deserving.
