Steven Adams fans who took special TAB odds on his performance today will have two reasons to celebrate.

Not only did the Oklahoma City Thunder win game three of the NBA Western Conference finals, the Kiwi basketballer also scored seven points and claimed nine rebounds.

This was significant because the TAB offered punters special odds of $4 if Adams managed to score seven points or more and claim seven rebounds or more.

TAB media manager Mark Stafford said it took a couple of hundred bets on the option, but would not reveal how much was wagered.

"It's not massive for us."

The TAB recorded turnover of almost $2 billion last year, according to its last annual report.

The maximum a person could wager on the Adams bet was $50.

The TAB also offered special Adams bets during the first two games of the series.

Stafford said those attracted twice the number of wagers than today's one, mainly because the odds were higher.

It offered the special bets as an added level of interest for Adams' fans watching the games, Stafford said.

"A lot of people were interested in Steve so we offered it up as a novelty so people could bet on just him, rather than the game."

How do you expect the Breakers to perform in this season's Australian NBL?

Last season was a blip, they'll be champions once again

They'll go close to another title, beaten finalists I'd say

Playoffs for sure, but can't see them going any further

Not too excited, they'll miss the playoffs again
