Cedric 'Action' Jackson is returning to the Breakers after spending the off-season playing with the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs.

Jackson has confirmed that he will return to the Breakers, backing up a debut season where he was the club’s MVP, was close to securing the Australian NBL MVP honour and was named in the ANBL All-Star Five.

The point guard has spent the off season playing for the San Antonio Spurs in the Las Vegas NBA Summer League.

"We knew that Cedric wanted to do everything he could to put himself in the frame for an NBA call up, and supported him completely in that goal," said Breakers general manager Richard Clarke.

"We also wanted him to know that if he didn’t get there he had a home here. We have a good relationship with his agents and were able to put a deal in place to that effect, and that deal has now been confirmed.

"We are all excited to have Ced back for another season."

Jackson and fellow import Will Hudson will arrive in Auckland in late August, prior to the start of the Breakers pre-season campaign in September.

How do you expect the Breakers to perform in this season's Australian NBL?

Last season was a blip, they'll be champions once again

They'll go close to another title, beaten finalists I'd say

Playoffs for sure, but can't see them going any further

Not too excited, they'll miss the playoffs again
