The Harlem Globetrotters return to New Zealand for the first time in more than 12 years next month and one of the team's showmen has offered up a taste of what's to come.

Guard Dizzy Grant is in New Zealand to promote the Globetrotters' nationwide tour and showed off some his tricks in Auckland today.

The Globetrotters have been around since the 1920s and are known for their comedy, fan interaction and exceptional skills.

They return to New Zealand for the first time since 1999 to play seven nights in a row in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Dunedin, New Plymouth, Napier and Nelson.

The first show will be at Auckland's North Shore Events Centre on May 25 with the last stop in Napier on May 31.

How do you expect the Breakers to perform in this season's Australian NBL?

Last season was a blip, they'll be champions once again

They'll go close to another title, beaten finalists I'd say

Playoffs for sure, but can't see them going any further

Not too excited, they'll miss the playoffs again
