I for one am going to be very interested to see how Tim Southee copes into the wind. I wonder if he'll be able to harness the swing?
Interesting reading there's "not a big difference" between the two bowling attacks. HA! Only about 15-20Km/h! With Coldplay & Dan, we do have a clear edge in experience with the ball, still can't see us taking 20.
@BG - I'll admit, I had to read the last line twice before I got it... :)
My (realistic/pessimistic) predictions for the series:
Tim Southee will get one 5 wicket haul but they'll still cost him 30 runs each.
Aust top 6 will be content to dead-bat Vetorri and attack from the other end.
Aust will score at least 400 in each of their 3 turns at bat. NZ will socre 400 in ONE of their 4 turns at bat.
Shane Watson will snare Taylor 2/4 times, once caught off a short ball and once with a slower ball yorker plumb LBW.
Coldplay will only slightly improve his bowling average of 74 vs Aust and will score a total of 5 runs over 4 innings, including a french-cut 4.
I set my expectations low so I can be pleasantly surprised when we do well.
