Scott Parker is 31.

phil_style #7 Its just my opinion but I would rather see Scott Parker wear the Captains armband for England than John Terry, and although he is still very young, If my memory serves me well the Great Bobby Moore became England captain @ 23/24. But with that said I beleive after Gareth Bale he is the best player in the EPL right now...... It can not be any coincidence that as soon as Martin O'Neil takes over @ Sunderland, they look like a different team. I think Newcastle may well fade away as the season progreses and I honestly believe Tottenham Hotspur and Not Swansea are playing the best football in the League right now. And finaly can I congratulate Alfie yet again on being so far ahead of other football Blogs and Forums as Fabio Capello resigns from the England job and truly throws our game into Chaos.... Alex, what are your thoughts on the actual game? Do you think Scott Parker is the best defensive midfielder going for England? Are there any stars in the relegation threatened teams that deserve some limelight? What do you make of Newcaslte at the moment? Where have Sunderland come from all of a sudden? Are Swansea playing the "best" football in the league?
