Team New Zealand are through to the match racing semifinals at the latest America's Cup world series regatta in San Francisco.

Dean Barker's crew beat France's Team Energy in their quarterfinal sailed in 9-13 knot winds today.

The Kiwis used their upwind strength to claim victory after slipping behind early.

In today's other quarterfinal, New Zealand skipper Peter Burling’s Team Korea lost to Sweden's Artemis White.

Two fleet races were scheduled for later today.

The two remaining match-racing quarterfinals will be sailed tomorrow with the semifinals and final scheduled for Sunday.
