Middle of the pack finishes did nothing to enhance Team New Zealand's standing after two more fleet races were completed at the latest America's Cup World Series regatta in San Francisco today.

Dean Barker's crew finished fifth and sixth in the two races held amongst the 11-boat fleet.

That stalled the Kiwis in fifth place overall on 27 points.

They are well behind Britain's Ben Ainslie. In just his second regatta in the 45-foot catamarans, the Olympics great added a first and second placings today to yesterday's first and third finishes. He leads the table with 43 points.

New Zealand face Artemis Red in tomorrow's match-racing semifinals with two more fleet races scheduled as well.
