Rebecca Hayter returned as editor of Boating New Zealand in April 2013, having taken a five-year sabbatical, after 10 years in the role from 1998 to 2008. A winner of multiple awards in magazine journalism and author of three books, Rebecca co-owns a Young 88 and races and cruises regularly on the Hauraki Gulf.

Ben Gladwell joined the crew at Boating New Zealand in March, 2012. Ben brings a life-long love of the ocean and boats to the position as well as a wealth of sailing knowledge. A foredeck specialist, he raced professionally in the UK, France, Sweden and Malta between 2009 and 2011. Now living back in Auckland, he races on the TP52 V5 and a Sydney-based Cookson 50, Pretty Fly III .
He owns and races a Farr 727.
