Rebecca Hayter returned as editor of Boating New Zealand in April 2013, having taken a five-year sabbatical, after 10 years in the role from 1998 to 2008. A winner of multiple awards in magazine journalism and author of three books, Rebecca co-owns a Young 88 and races and cruises regularly on the Hauraki Gulf. 

Ben Gladwell - Staff writer
Ben Gladwell joined the crew at Boating New Zealand in March, 2012. Ben brings a life-long love of the ocean and boats to the position as well as a wealth of sailing knowledge. A foredeck specialist, he raced professionally in the UK, France, Sweden and Malta between 2009 and 2011 and has clocked more than 3500 bluewater miles on delivery passages. Among his racing highlights are wins in the 2011 RORC Offshore Series, British and Dutch IRC Nationals and the eight place finish in the famous Fastnet Classic.
He owns and races a Farr 727.
