Matthew Hayden's Chennai Super Kings have cruised to a 55-run victory over Kolkota Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League at Eden Gardens on Tuesday.
Former Test opener Hayden was bowled by Ishant Sharma for just one as Chennai scored 3/164 off their 20 overs, with skipper MS Dhoni top scoring with 66 off 33 balls.
Hayden's former Australian teammate Brad Hodge took a wicket for the Knight Riders, before he also failed with the bat, lasting just two balls before falling to Albie Morkel as his side were bowled out for 109.
Morkel's South African teammate was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with an impressive 3-12 off three overs.
In the earlier game, an inspired Jaques Kallis smashed an unbeaten 89 off 55 balls to guide Bangalore to an eight-wicket victory over Kings XI Punjab.
In a game dominated by the bat, the Kings XI scored a respectable 3-203 with English batsman Ravi Bopara (75) and Manvinder Bisla (77) leading the way.
However, Kallis and Robin Uthappa (51) laid the foundations for the home side, who reached their target with seven balls to spare.
