Former Black Caps' allrounder has Scott Styris smashed the third-equal fastest century in the Twenty20 cricket history.

Playing for Sussex in a quarterfinal of the English county T20 competition Styris smashed exactly 100 not out to guide his team to 230-4 batting first against Gloucestershire.

His innings included an astonishing 38 runs off one over from James Fuller that included four sixes, three fours and two no-balls.

In all he hit nine sixes and five fours and brought up his last 50 runs off just 13 deliveries.

"I'm a lazy bugger these days! I'm just a slogger, they all seem to go even when I don't want them to," Styris told Sky Sports UK.

Only Andrew Symonds (34 balls) and Louis van der Westhuizen (35) have scored faster T20 hundreds.
 
In reply Gloucestershire could only manage 191-8 from their 20 overs.
