Frana Segedin caught this 7.2kg beauty while fishing off Great Barrier Island aboard her dad’s boat, Taravana. Frana outfished her fiancée, Tim, who snapped the pic.

While on holiday in Fiji, Tom Kitson landed this 10kg giant trevally, which gave him a great workout. The photo was snapped by Kim Fry.

Ben Kusabs landed this great snapper off Waiterere Beach. It pulled the scales to 13.86kg (30.5lb) and was photographed by his dad, Greg.

Bryce Deihl produced this 10kg snapper from Houhora over Labour Weekend. The monster was caught in just six metres of water using pilchards as bait.

‘JP’ Samuelson caught a number of nice kahawai on salt-fly tackle from the Marlborough region on his home-tied flies. JP says the kahawai took to the air in spectacular fashion.
