The New Zealand schools team have finished fourth at the European Youth Cup under-17 football tournament in Bludenz, Austria.
New Zealand were third out of six teams in the round-robin phase of the tournament following a 2-0 defeat of local state academy side, Vorarlberg this morning.
It took them to the third-fourth playoff match which they lost 0-2 to a United States regional team, the same opponents they beat 1-0 on the first day.
German club VfB Stuttgart beat Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia 4-1 in the final.
