All Whites captain Ryan Nelsen could be switching English Premier League clubs and moving to Queens Park Rangers.

It is being reported on the Sky Sports website in England this morning that Nelsen, 34, will undergo a medical test at QPR in the next 24 hours after seeing a short-term deal at Tottenham come to an end.

The experienced defender moved to White Hart Lane in January on a six-month agreement.

He was drafted in by now-departing manager Harry Redknapp to provide defensive cover and made five appearances for the club in all competitions.

QPR are looking for experience as they attempt to avoid suffering from second-season syndrome.

They avoided relegation by just one point this season, finishing 17th of the 20 teams.
