All Whites forward Marco Rojas is unlikely to be fit for the start of the Bundesliga season after breaking a bone in his right foot.

The 21-year-old New Zealander suffered the injury after scoring on his VfB Stuttgart debut in a friendly last week.

Rojas is expected to be out for four to six weeks but Stuttgart, last season's German Cup finalists, start their Bundesliga season at Mainz on August 11 - in just over three weeks.

Rojas left Melbourne Victory on a free transfer in April after scoring 15 goals last season and being voted the A-League’s MVP. He signed a contract with Stuttgart until 2017.
