The Wellington Phoenix played out a 3-3 pre-season draw against Central League side Lower Hutt City at Porirua Park tonight.

Paul Ifill scored twice for the Phoenix, with Stein Huysegems grabbing the third goal.

Phoenix coach Ernie Merrick used the match to give gametime to triallists Reece Caira, Joel Stevens, Alex Rufer, Clayton Lewis, Justin Gulley and Te Atawhai Hudson-Wihongi.

The Phoenix play another pre-season game against Petone at Petone Memorial Park on Thursday night.
