Wellington Phoenix have lost striker Roy Krishna for one match following his red card against Perth Glory.

The A-League's match review panel proposed the mandatory minimum penalty for the act deemed a serious act of foul play, when he mistimed a challenge in the 63rd minute of the match last Thursday, which the Phoenix lost 2-1.

The striker trod on Shane Lowrys' foot as he made the tackle, but commentators suggested it wasn't deserving of a sending off.

Krishna is the Phoenix's top goal scorer this season, with eight goals from 11 matches. He will miss the match against Central Coast Mariners at home on Saturday.
