Lydia Ko has raced up the leaderboard at the LPGA Tour.

The 17-year-old world No 3 shot a three-under par 68 this morning at the $2.28m Arkansas Championship and at the completion of her round was in a tie for 11th.

Ko was out early on a wet Pinnacle Country Club, having shot a two-under 69 on day one.

Her opening round was good enough to have her in a tie for 25th

She today recorded four birdies and a solitary bogey - her first of the tournament -  in her second round and will start tomorrow's final round at five-under par.

With a number of players still on the course, US Open winner Michelle Wie was the second round leader at 10-under.
