The low round of the tournament wasn't quite enough to help Lydia Ko win another LPGA Tour event.

The 17-year-old Kiwi this morning fired a six-under 65 at the US$2.3m Arkansas Championship, including picking up shots on three of her last four holes, to get to 11-under in the 54-hole tournament.

At the completion of her round, Ko held the lead by one from world No 1 Stacy Lewis.

Lewis, however, finished just as strongly as Ko and also shot 65, to get to 12-under. Like Ko, Lewis birdied the 15th, 17th and 18th holes.

Ko finished in a tie for second with American Cristie Kerr who missed a chance at forcing a playoff with Lewis by only making a par on the last.

This morning's 65 was Ko's best round of the event, but the 17-year-old world No 3 has been a model of consistency all week, making just one bogey.

Ko's tie for second is expected to lift her from sixth in the LPGA Tour points race, into third.

Would you be happy to pay for PGA Tour coverage online?

Absolutely. I'll do whatever it takes to watch golf.

It depends on how good the service is.

If it's not on TV, I won't watch it.

What? The PGA Tour's not going to be on Sky TV?
