Tim Wilkinson leads a contingent of New Zealanders handily placed after the first round of the Australian PGA at Coolum, Brisbane, today.
Wilkinson finished the day on a solid three-under 68, in a group of six including tournament favourite Adam Scott tied for eighth. Josh Geary is two shots astray with 14 others on 70. A trio of New Zealanders - David Smail, Gareth Paddison and Michael Campbell are one shot further back on even par 71.
Korean surprise packet Min-Kyu Han set a stunning course record nine under 62 to lead the field on Thursday by four shots after the first round.
North Queensland's Ryan Haller was in second place after a fine five under 66 .
Defending champion Geoff Ogilvy had a one under 70.
