Kiwi Cathryn Bristow lands European Tour card
Aucklander Cathryn Bristow will return to golf’s Ladies European Tour (LET) next year after surviving the Lalla Aicha Tour School in Marrakech, Morocco.
The 29-year-old finished in a tie for 15th in the five-round tournament where the top 31 players received playing rights on the LET.
Auckland’s Phillis Meti and Hamilton’s Emily Perry were 62nd and 70th respectively after four rounds, missed the final cut and did not receive their card.
Bristow qualified for the LET this year by finishing in a tie for 25th at Marrakech this time last year.
Bristow finished 146th on this year’s LET Order of Merit with earnings of just €3,962.34 (NZ$6630) in 2013.
The left-hander’s best result of the year was at the South African Women's Open where finished tied ninth.
She shot a three-over 75 in her fifth and final round this week, but three two-under par rounds of 70 mixed with one 74, saw her comfortbaly qualify, three shots ahead of the cut off mark.
