Scalper alert on Warriors sellout

Fans are being warned not to buy scalped tickets to the Warriors' NRL playoff against the Sydney Roosters, after tickets appeared on TradeMe shortly after selling out today.
A number of tickets have been listed for auction on TradeMe for Friday night's sudden death clash at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland after the match sold out in just 11 minutes.
The public allocation of tickets was snapped up this morning following the Warriors' shock win over Melbourne on Sunday, with tickets reserved for Warriors and Roosters members now the only seats available.
Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah said fans would be denied entry if they were found to have bought their tickets from scalpers.
"We will void any ticket we know has been bought from a scalper," he said.
"We have done all we practically can on our part to stop this practice happening but we can’t stop tickets being advertised on trademe.co.nz – so buyer beware."
There were still more than 600 seats available at Mt Smart Stadium for Roosters members wishing to travel across the Tasman for the match.
Members tickets will be on offer until Midday on Wednesday, when all remaining tickets will be released for public sale.
It means the 26,000-capacity Mt Smart Stadium is sure to be full for Friday night's game.
Scurrah pointed out there was a warning about on-selling on the front of tickets for the Vodafone Warriors-Sydney Roosters match.
The warning reads: "It is a condition of sale that this ticket may not without prior written consent of the NRL, be resold at a premium nor used for advertising or other commercial purposes (including competitions/trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods of services. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the bearer of ticket will be denied admission."
The NRL have said there was similar excitement in Brisbane with more than 13,000 tickets sold in the first 20 minutes of public sales for the Broncos' match against minor premiers Melbourne at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.
