Former New Zealand Warriors under-20s hooker Nafe Seluini is heading to the Sydney Roosters as NRL clubs continue to trade personnel before the player transfer deadline expires on Saturday.
Seluini, a member of the Warriors squad that won the 2010 Toyota Cup grand final, was granted a release by the Penrith Panthers today to join the Bondi Junction club on a deal which expires at the end of next year.
The 22-year-old replaces Anthony Mitchell who was released to join the North Queensland on Monday while Cowboys dummy half James Segeyaro had already signed a deal to shift to the Panthers in 2013.
A Tongan international, Seluini played 19 games for the Panthers since joining the club last year as back-up for Kevin Kingston.
