Tim Sheens is reportedly set to knock back a new role and walk away from Wests Tigers after being dumped as the NRL club's head coach.

Despite having another two years to run on his contract at the Tigers, Sheens will instead concentrate on his role as Australia's Test coach ahead of next year's World Cup, according to a News Limited report.

There has been no confirmation of Sheens' decision from the club.

Sheens was sacked as coach in September after the Tigers failed to make the finals in 2012.

He was offered a variety of development roles at the club but has reportedly turned them down, though it is believed he is still keen to coach again in the NRL.
