Penrith have signed former Warriors  halfback Isaac John for the 2013 NRL season.

John links with his old coach at the Warriors Ivan Cleary and  arrives at the Panthers after playing only 14 games in just over 12  months for UK Super League team Wakefield.

The 24-year-old joined the Wildcats on a three-year deal from  the Warriors for the start of the 2012 season but failed to cement  a spot in the team.

The signing bolsters the Panthers' halfback stocks with Luke  Walsh and Tom Humble at the club.
