Former Warriors star Brett Seymour has been released from hospital in Britain after being involved in a car accident.
Local media reported that Seymour had allegedly crashed his BMW car into two parked vehicles in Hull about 10.30pm on Sunday. His car then overturned.
The Australian player was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary but suffered no serious injuries and was released this morning (NZ time).
Seymour had played in Hull's 36-16 defeat at Widnes on Saturday.
His Hull club confirmed the incident and said the 28-year-old Seymour had been placed on leave.
Seymour, in his second season in Britain's Super League, has had a chequered career in the game. Drinking problems while with the Broncos and Cronulla threatened his NRL career before the Warriors offered him a lifeline with strict conditions around drinking.
Seymour lived up to those expectations but his time at the Warriors was blighted by injuries and eventually ended his two year stay under a cloud.
