New Zealand's Mitch Evans left Silverstone empty handed after a disappointing weekend of GP2 action in Britain.

Evans finished tonight's sprint race in 14th place after being 19th in the earlier feature race.

While he had shown plenty of pace to lead the feature event before copping a pit-lane penalty, Evans could get nothing going in the sprint and again failed to score any points.

The sprint was won by England's Johnny Lancaster, completing a great double for home fans after fellow Brit Sam Bird won the earlier race.

The next round is at the German Grand Prix on July 5-7.
